What can be made here, what gets rejected, and where the limits actually sit.
What gets rejected, and by whom
Generation runs through a third-party AI music provider, and their content policy decides what gets made. Prompts they consider unacceptable are refused at their end before any audio exists. When that happens the track fails and you get a free retry — see Payments & retries — so a rejected prompt costs you nothing but time.
Bangerboard does not currently run its own moderation pass over lyrics or prompts. The provider's policy is the only filter between what you type and what gets generated. Do not treat the absence of a block as approval.
What is not acceptable here
Regardless of what any model will generate, this is not for:
- slurs or content attacking people for who they are
- harassment of, or content targeting, identifiable private individuals
- publishing anyone's personal information
- sexual content involving minors, in any form or framing
Profanity is fine. Drugs, money, crime and general edge are fine. Know the audience.
Accounts used for the things in that list lose access. Tracks already on-chain cannot be deleted by anyone — see below — which is a reason to take the list seriously rather than a loophole in it.
What happens to a track that breaks the rules
Here is the honest position, and it is an uncomfortable one:
A launched track exists on Solana. The token, its metadata and its trading history are permanent and are not ours to remove. We can stop showing a track on the board and cut off its hosted audio, which removes it from Bangerboard — but the token continues to exist and continues to be tradeable on-chain, by anyone, forever.

Tracks are AI-generated and may resemble existing music. If you believe a track infringes your rights, we will act on it to the extent described above: removal from the board and from our hosting.
Who owns the music
You do. Your lyrics are your composition, and the recording is assigned to you as far as the law and our generation provider's terms allow — where they don't, you hold an exclusive licence from us, which amounts to the same thing in practice. Use it anywhere you like; we take no cut of what you do with it off-platform.
Launching a track is the one exception, and it is narrow. From the moment you launch, Bangerboard keeps a permanent licence to host, stream and display that track here, because people now hold a token against it and the audio cannot vanish from under them. Tracks you never launch carry no licence at all.
Buying a track token transfers no rights to the music whatsoever. A token is a speculative collectible, not a licence. See the FAQ for the same thing at more length.
That ownership is also why the rules above are yours to keep to: if you launch something you had no right to use, you are the one making that claim.
