Glossary
Every bit of jargon on this site, defined once. These are the same definitions behind the dotted underlines elsewhere in the docs.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| bonded | A track that hit all three graduation thresholds. Its liquidity moved to a DEX pool and it now trades on the open market instead of the curve. |
| bonding curve | A formula that sets the price from how much has been bought. Buying pushes the price up, selling pushes it down. No order book, no counterparty. |
| the curve | The program that holds a track's SOL and unsold tokens and prices every trade until it graduates. |
| dev buy | The creator's own first purchase, bundled into the launch. It fills at the same price as anyone else's — there is no cheaper allocation. |
| DEX | A decentralised exchange. Anyone can trade against its pools without an account or an intermediary. |
| LP burn | Destroying the tokens that represent ownership of a pool. Once burned, nobody can withdraw the liquidity — including us. |
| market cap | The current price multiplied by the total supply. It is a quote, not money in a box. |
| qualified listen | A play that met the verification rules — enough seconds, from an old enough account, within the daily caps. Only these count toward graduation. |
| slippage | How far the price may move against you before your trade is cancelled. Set it too tight and the trade fails; too loose and you pay more than you meant to. |
| ticker | The short symbol a track trades under, like $NEON. Two to ten characters, unique. |
