Fair play
Two of the three bonding thresholds — holders and listens — measure people rather than money, which makes them worth faking. These are the rules about that.
Wash trading
Trading with yourself to manufacture volume, holders or price action is excluded from trending and from graduation. Buys and sells between wallets that appear to share a funding source are collapsed into one for the purpose of counting holders, so splitting SOL across fresh wallets does not buy you a holder count.
Listen farming
Manufactured plays don't count toward graduation. On top of the daily caps described in Listens, patterns that look automated are excluded.
What we won't tell you
We don't publish the specifics of what gets detected. Anything precise enough to be useful to you would be precise enough to route around, and the people it would help most are the ones this is aimed at.
Consequences
- Excluded, not punished. In the ordinary case nothing is taken from you — the trades and plays still happened, they simply don't count toward trending or the thresholds.
- Repeated or automated abuse loses access to the platform.
- Nothing on-chain is reversible. Excluding a wash trade from a count does not undo the trade. You still paid the fee, and you still moved the price.
Why bother
The thresholds are the only thing separating a track that people wanted from a track that one determined person wanted. If they can be faked, bonding stops meaning anything, and "this track bonded" becomes a statement about someone's scripting rather than about the music.
